TNVoice

End of course evaluations allow student evaluation of teaching at the university.

The instrument, TNVoice (TN Volunteer Online Instructor and Course Evaluation), was developed by a task force of faculty, students and assessment staff.

Additional development, including reliability and validity testing, was conducted by Jennifer Morrow, Associate Professor of Educational Psychology and Research in Evaluation, Statistics and Measurement at UT Knoxville.

TNVoice is administered via HelioCampus. Results of the assessment are provided to instructors once the semester ends and all student grades have been posted on MyUTK. Access to reports is restricted to faculty and departmental administrators.

Archived Reports

The TNVoice migration to HelioCampus is complete. On October 17, 2023, the Institutional Effectiveness department notified Anthology to terminate our sites, including TNVoice, now that we have access to download the PDFs of all faculty course evaluation reports from fall 2015 through spring 2023. Users should expect access to Anthology to end immediately.

To request these files, please email TNVoice@utk.edu, with a 2-week lead-time. If your department maintains files of course evaluations, they may have already downloaded your reports. Please contact the administrative support personnel in your department.

Prior to TNVoice, 2000-2016, the Student Assessment of Instruction System (SAIS) was used for student evaluation of instruction at the institution. The 11 questionnaires were based on the University of Washington’s Instructional Assessment System (used with UW permission).

Please contact Elizabeth Pemberton at TNVoice@utk.edu for archived reports.
