• Maintaining UT Knoxville’s compliance with accreditation standards imposed by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and with standards imposed by U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) and similar agencies
• Supporting efforts to secure and maintain programmatic and specialty accreditation held by individual academic programs
• Ensuring continuous improvement in the institution’s academic programs through oversight of regular assessment of
  • student learning outcomes, annually
  • regular academic program review, every ten years with a mid-cycle review at the 5-year mark
  • end-of-course evaluations, each term
